J.A.M. & The Buttered Biscuits, a local band with a clever name now earning a reputation up and down the Central Coast (and beyond). The band just works well – fiery and soulful, gritty and powerful. With The Buttered Biscuits, J.A.M. is really onto something.
I’m watching JAM and the Buttered Biscuits (formerly the Jeffrey A. Meyer Band) at The Shanty Shack in Santa Cruz. Their original songs have such great funk grooves I see a man eat chicken with his jaw chewing in time to the beat.
In December Meyer hooked up with Dave Roe, the last, long-time bassist for Johnny Cash, and created “Wilder Times,” his debut album released on June 3. Meyer said it was epic to get Roe to play on his album.
